Menopause Fatigue

Stress and fatigue are two of the major symptoms of menopause. However, women in menopause can do something to avoid or at least minimize the stress and fatigue in their lives.

How To Fight Menopause Fatigue

Women on menopause can attest that life stops being normal as soon as menopause hits. From then on, life becomes a series of ups and downs, a virtual emotional roller coaster. Along with menopause are a series of physical changes, which leave many women in menopause fatigue. Whether menopause fatigue is the result of their current and past lifestyle or not, it can take its toll on the body and leave women extremely worn out and in dire need of rejuvenation.

Avoiding Stress

For some people, stress can be a motivating factor. There are people who perform at their best under extreme pressure or stress. However, the last thing that women who are going through menopause need is stress, which can overwork the body and leave it physically drained.

Menopause is an irreversible process and it is not a condition that can be easily controlled. Thus, menopausal women need to be aware of their bodies and their general physical condition. They need to avoid overworking their bodies and expecting themselves to do things as they used to do them when they were much younger. Women should not force themselves to work beyond their limits in order to avoid menopause fatigue. If they do, they are likely to experience menopause spotting, headaches and bouts of depression. Menopausal women need to step back and lower their expectations of themselves.

Staying on Top of Menopause Fatigue

To avoid experiencing fatigue brought about by menopause and its many symptoms, exert some selfishness...with your time and your self. Pace yourself and avoid overbooking yourself. Don't try to get everything done in a day. Set a schedule and give yourself blocks of time to simply relax and put your feet up. Rushing around is only going to increase the likelihood of menopause fatigue. Save your energy for those times and tasks that need you the most.

Pamper Yourself

Give yourself a treat from time to time. Go to a spa, take a vacation, have a manicure or pedicure, get a haircut, or simply spend a couple of hours in the bath tub. Call your friends and have a relaxing day at your house or theirs. Learn to chill out. Stop looking at the clock and worrying about things that couldn't be helped. When you are relaxed and free from pressure, you can avoid menopause fatigue. Don't take the risk of having your body shut down. Just because you are on menopause doesn't mean you have to stop living and enjoying life.
